WHY WAVE WALKER ?
The name Wave Walker is inspired by Matthew 14:22–33, when Peter stepped out of the boat and walked across the water toward Jesus. As long as his focus remained on Christ, he kept walking. But when he became overwhelmed by the wind and the waves, fear took over and he began to sink.
Life can feel much the same. The waves may be high and the winds may be strong, but faith reminds us where to fix our eyes.
Wave Walker Biblical Counseling exists to help people face life’s difficult seasons with biblical truth, renewed faith, and their eyes fixed on Christ.
High Winds. High Waves. Higher Faith.

Meet Matt Walker
I’m Matt Walker, founder of Wave Walker Biblical Counseling.
For nearly 15 years, I have worked with children, adolescents, families, and school communities in educational and community-based settings. My background includes a Master of Education in School Counseling, certification as a Texas teacher, experience as a Qualified Mental Health Professional–Children, and certification in biblical counseling through the Association of Biblical Counselors.
My professional experience has also included work with a community services board, supporting children and adolescents with behavioral and emotional challenges. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of helping young people navigate academic, relational, behavioral, emotional, and life challenges.
Wave Walker Biblical Counseling allows me to bring that experience together with my Christian faith to provide compassionate, practical, and biblically grounded support for children, adolescents, parents, and the professionals who serve them.
